Quote from Buffalob: Subscription pricing for software is not a slick deal. I agree, but it appears that Quicken is not going to switch back to 'one-time' software licenses like they used to offer earlier (with 3-years bank data download access included). So if you're a Quicken user and can't live without it (like me), you'll appreciate deals like these. As for me, I am waiting for my 3-years of web download access from Quicken 2016 to expire in April 2019, after which I'll have to bite the bullet and go with Quicken's subscription model (as much as I hate it). Does this subscription model start at date of purchase or date of activation? I would like to buy this now, but wait to activate it until my current 3 years of web download expires (I also have Quicken 2016).
I will NEVER, NEVER pay a subscription for Quicken. They can eat my doodies. Been using it since it was on floppies, and they've just become a disgusting bunch of pigs. Bought 2017 online for like $20 and that's the last one I'll buy. I'll just stop using the Internet Download in 2020 and update my investment info manually. This is what happens when there's little competition and scumbag companies are allowed to roam free.

And people paying for it only support the move. EVERYONE should boycott them and let them know vehemently what they can do with their subscriptions. It's caused them to change course in the past.

It's caused them to change course in the past I'm sure they'll miss your $20 contribution to the cause. I'm OK with it. It was basically 3 year run last time (still have a year to go) and then I'll switch the 2018. Basically $30 a year for me with Premier ($20 for those that want Deluxe), that's not going to cause a pain point for me and Q helps greatly tracking my expenses, accounts and investments. I was a bit perturbed initially, but then I went and looked at options and quite frankly all the 'competitive' offerings fall far short of what Quicken delivers.
Quote from ForgottenWarlock: Great prices, if you're tied to Quicken. Odd that BestBuy doesn't offer Home & Business 2018, just the one with additional property rental. Amazon is $96 for H & B, 27-month boxed or download: I'll wait for a deal on that. It's the one I need and don't want to be stuck upgrading to the one with Property Rental in the future. It's the same software. If you look on Quicken.com or Amazon.com, at times they call it 'Home & Business' and other times 'Home, Business, & Rental Property'.
